The International Wizard of Oz Club
Doors open at 10 a.m.

Guest curator Michael Patrick Hearn (The Annotated Wizard of Oz, 2000) has gathered more than 70 pieces of original Wizard of Oz art to honor the 150th birthdays of Oz creators L. Frank Baum and W.W. Denslow.
The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art
- Pop-up artist Robert Sabuda presents; 1 p.m. (The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: A Commemorative Pop-up, 2000)
- Hands-on studio activity; make your own paper pop-up!
- IWOC members’ behind-the-scenes tour with Mr. Hearn; 4-5 p.m.
- Mr. Hearn presents The Wonderful Art of Oz; 6:15 p.m.
- Both Mr. Sabuda and Mr. Hearn will be available for book signings; their books may be purchased in the museum gift shop.
Artists with work in the exhibition, and collectors who have loaned artwork for it will be invited to this opening event. Any additional appearances or signings will be announced at www.picturebookart.org.
